New Project. [26 Sep 2007|12:31pm] currently, I've been working on a horror film with Ed Hall. The team we put together was rabid bob and krazy j (the same team that will be making Brains in a Blender/Dungeon Master Massacre with me soon). Well, in 9 days we will be presenting a "theatrical attraction" version of the film, "Tunnels of the Dead". Basically a haunted house showing a 30 minute "g" rated version of the film. The show is called "Art Attak," which will display its work only from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday. When a viewer walks in to the Opera House, they'll see artwork hanging in the halls that lead to the theater, and on the walls that lead upstairs. Much of the work is off the beaten path, with one piece made entirely out of garbage, including bottle caps and the like. The Dayton-based theater group Zoot Productions, which helped Rising Phoenix Theatre Company stage "A Christmas Carol" last year, will present its play "The Last Days of Edgar Allan Poe," about the writer known for such eerie poetry as "The Raven" and eerie prose like "The Fall of the House of Usher." That play, along with several short films, will be presented on the main stage. On the Fourth Floor ballroom, experimental audio art will play. Casiedy modeled "Art Attak" on a similar show he saw some years ago in Dayton. He originally wanted to hold it at the Fisherman's Club in Trenton, but as the scope of the project grew, a larger venue was needed. More than anything else, he wants to inspire area youth to become involved in something like this show and see the good that can come as a result.
